CHANGES TO JOBKEEPER // 28 SEPTEMBER 2020

On 21 July 2020, the Federal Government announced that the JobKeeper payments would be extended until 28 March 2021, but also flagged that there would be new changes to how it operates.

From 28 September 2020 onwards several new changes will come into effect, including a sizeable reduction in payments for eligible employees, and a renewed turnover test to assess eligibility for employers. JobKeeper extension announcement

This information is a summary of the announced extension to the JobKeeper Payment to run from 28 September until 28 March 2021.

The JobKeeper extension will become law when amendments to the JobKeeper Rules are registered.
